What a great time of year!
We get to talk about Jesus and why God the Father sent Him to earth. It was all for our good. God the Father sent Him to bless us. To give us light and life and love. They are all good things that we can meditate on and receive from the Father because of Jesus coming to earth.
Lets thank God today for all the good things He has placed in this world.

I have a family member who campaigns against Christmas because of pagan origins. My argument is pretty much as you mention here--we have a special time of year when people's hearts are particularly open to hear about Christ, the reason for the season. 'Make the most of every opportunity.' I could have been considered pagan, worshipping everything else but God, but I was redeemed..... so we redeem Christmas!! :)
